Detection

1. Upgrade or downgrade

Place the putter horizontally on the greensward before estimating the path.

The location of the bubble indicates upgrade position.

2. Inclination

Place the putter transversely on fairway and soon you'll know if you should putt leftward or rightward.

3. When you can't master the fairway, second detection is recommended.
